
Jessica R. Barsotti
Jessica has been a trial lawyer for 24 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of Hastings College of Law, where her grandfather and long-time judge in Berkeley, California also attended.
Jessica has extensive experience in the courts battling corporations, landlords, police, cities, counties and school districts to find justice for her clients. Jessica has extensive trial experience and has mastered litigation skills including motion practice, jury trials, bench trials, depositions, drafting complaints and formulating litigation strategies. Jessica has tried and won cases in state courts, federal courts and the courts of appeal and has a deep understanding of all aspects of litigation. Jessica’s experience and knowledge brings invaluable insight to litigants needing assistance with litigation strategy and advice. Jessica excels in being able to identify potential litigations pitfalls, nuanced strategy approaches, and how to achieve the results desired by the litigation overall.
After running a successful solo practice for 15 years, Jessica joined Robert Kennedy Jr.’s Children’s Health Defense California to assist in legally challenging the massive overreach of the government during COVID and, as a partner in the law firm Facts Law Truth Justice, she crafted the winning writ strategy that brought favorable rulings in Piedmont and Orange County that pushed back harmful illegal policies during the COVID era.
Jessica was also hired as a trial expert in Lewis Williams v. BART in October 2024 to assist with the trial strategy, jury selection and trial process, including direct exam of some plaintiffs, cross examining experts and doing closing argument. This San Francisco Federal Case achieved the highest jury award for religious discrimination related to the COVID era to date.
In addition to her legal work, Jessica is currently developing educational materials to assist those who wish to understand important legal concepts.
